We use information to run PBO events and services. Competition results may be public. Payout contact details can be shared with PBO’s QuickBooks company; bank details and tax identifiers do not belong in the website’s payout form. Read the full policy below.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

Professional Bowling Organization (PBO) operates this website and its player, event administration, payout setup, and electronic signing services. This policy describes information handled through those services, including PBO’s QuickBooks connection.

Third-party services have their own privacy notices. Separately provided employment, tax, or other notices may also apply to information collected outside this website. Questions and requests can be sent to marketing@pro-bowling.org.

2. Information we collect

  • Account and eligibility information: email address, legal first and last name, date of birth, phone number if provided, membership details, USBC number, and average information used for eligibility review.
  • Event information: entries, division and squad selections, check-in, lane assignments, scores, brackets, standings, placements, and recorded prize awards.
  • Payment and payout records: purchase amounts, status, transaction references, confirmed payee name, contact email, preferred payout method, mailing address when supplied, and bank or tax paperwork review status. The payout setup form does not request bank account or routing numbers, Social Security numbers, or tax identification numbers.
  • Documents and signatures: documents uploaded by authorized staff, recipient names and emails, signature or initials text, dates and other requested form answers, electronic consent, verification events, and the document’s signing history.
  • Technical and support information: information you send to PBO, session identifiers, IP addresses, browser or device information, timestamps, and authentication, administration, and security logs. Signing records can include the signer’s IP address and browser information.

Information comes from you, authorized PBO staff, event scoring and registration activity, and connected providers. PBO may also use USBC or other supplied eligibility records to review an entering average.

3. Applications and staff records

If you apply for a role, PBO receives the contact details, city and state, profile link, cover letter, résumé, and other information you submit. Applications are sent to PBO for review. Authorized staff tools can also record hours worked, travel mileage, reimbursement requests, and receipts. PBO uses these records to evaluate applications and administer work and expenses. Any separate employment or applicant notices also apply.

4. How we use information

We use information to verify account access and eligibility; administer memberships, entries, schedules, check-in, and competition; publish results; maintain event and payment records; prepare prize recipients; complete agreements; respond to requests; and protect the Services against misuse.

We also use records for accounting, applicable tax and legal obligations, dispute handling, and corrections. Date of birth supports identity and age eligibility administration. Access to private information depends on a staff member’s assigned role.

5. Information that may be public

Event pages, entry lists, lane assignments, scores, brackets, points standings, placements, and published prize information may identify bowlers by name. Public bracket results may also show the recorded paid or pending status of a prize. Competition records may remain available as part of PBO’s event history.

The public competition pages are not intended to display your date of birth, private contact details, mailing address, sign-in information, or payout paperwork. Your private portal can display additional account and season information to you. Contact PBO if you believe private information has appeared publicly.

Signed agreements and their completion certificates are available to authorized agreement participants. These records can include signer names, email addresses, signatures, timestamps, IP addresses, browser information, and other signing evidence; they are not public tournament results.

6. Service providers and other disclosures

PBO shares information as needed with service providers and authorized people who support its operations:

  • Stripe: processes new website payments. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy. Helcim: remains relevant to earlier payments and their reconciliation. PBO retains related transaction references, amounts, and payment status. Enter card details only through the payment process. See Helcim’s Privacy Policy.
  • Intuit / QuickBooks: supports recipient contact setup, accounting, payment administration, and applicable tax workflows. The website connection is explained below. See Intuit’s Global Privacy Statement.
  • Hosting, email, and technical providers: support delivery of the website, sign-in messages, storage, diagnostics, and security.
  • Advertising and analytics providers: receive information from public pages as explained in the cookies section below.
  • Authorized event personnel and advisers: receive information needed to run an event, resolve an issue, or perform accounting or legal work. Public competition information is also available to host centers, spectators, and others.

PBO may disclose relevant records when required by law or reasonably necessary to respond to lawful requests, protect people or accounts, prevent fraud, or handle a dispute. Other sharing requested or authorized by you is limited to that purpose.

7. QuickBooks and prize recipient setup

When a bowler confirms payout details, PBO saves the payout preference and may send the confirmed payee name, email, and supplied mailing address to PBO’s QuickBooks company to create or update a recipient contact. An authorized PBO administrator must first connect and enable the integration.

The connection reads the authorized company’s identifying information and recipient directory information to validate the company, find existing contacts, and avoid duplicates or conflicting edits. PBO stores company and recipient identifiers, connection status, synchronization history, and protected authorization credentials. QuickBooks responses can include additional vendor fields; the recipient integration keeps the contact and matching information needed for setup and does not use or save bank account numbers or tax identifiers. This accounting data is used for PBO’s recipient setup and administration, not for advertising.

Bank details and tax forms are handled through separate secure invitations or another process arranged with PBO. This website connection does not send payments or invitations. PBO’s finance staff may record whether the required paperwork is complete without placing the bank details or tax identifiers in this website’s payout form.

The primary administrator can pause setup or disconnect in PBO’s QuickBooks connection screen; access can also be removed in QuickBooks. Disconnecting clears the website’s saved authorization tokens and stops synchronization through that connection. Existing recipient, accounting, and audit records remain subject to the retention practices below. A bowler may contact PBO about their own information; disconnecting the organization’s connection is an administrator action.

8. Cookies, advertising, and analytics

The website uses a session cookie to keep sign-in and security checks working. Blocking necessary cookies can prevent sign-in and other account features from working. Browser settings allow you to review, block, or remove cookies.

Public pages include Google AdSense. Google and participating advertising providers may use cookies or similar technologies to select or measure ads based on visits to this and other websites. You can manage personalized advertising through Google My Ad Center and learn about participating providers’ choices at YourAdChoices. See how Google uses information from partner sites. An advertising opt-out does not necessarily remove all ads or all cookies.

Public pages also include Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure traffic and page performance. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy. Site styling may request fonts from Google, which receives the technical information needed to deliver those files.

PBO’s private account, administration, payout, and signing screens do not include the public-page advertising and analytics scripts. These two policy pages also omit those scripts. This does not prevent ordinary server or security logging. The site does not currently implement a separate response to browser Do Not Track signals; use the browser and provider controls described here.

9. Retention and security

PBO retains information for the purposes described in this policy, including ongoing account administration, competition history, payment and tax records, signed agreements, security, and resolving disputes. Retention depends on the type of record and the applicable operational or legal need; there is no single automatic deletion period for every record.

Closing an account or disconnecting QuickBooks does not automatically delete completed transactions, official results, signed documents, or audit records. Copies may remain in backups and provider systems under their retention practices. Contact PBO to request deletion or learn which records need to be retained.

The Services use safeguards such as access restrictions, protected connections, and encryption for selected sensitive fields and authorization tokens. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Keep sign-in codes and private document links confidential, and do not send banking or tax identifiers by ordinary email.

10. Your choices and requests

You can review information in your player portal and update fields that are available for editing. For a legal name, date of birth, email correction, access request, deletion request, or account closure, contact marketing@pro-bowling.org. PBO may need to verify your identity before acting, using information appropriate to the request.

Privacy rights and the exceptions that apply can vary by location. PBO will review and respond to requests under applicable law, including any applicable rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain information, or to object to or limit certain processing. If you disagree with a response, contact PBO to request a further review. Some records may need to be retained for the reasons described above.

Contact PBO if you do not want to use an online payout setup option so an available alternative can be discussed. Required payout and tax information is still needed before payment. Requests concerning information held directly by a third-party provider may also need to be directed to that provider.

11. Children and service locations

These Services are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact marketing@pro-bowling.org so PBO can investigate and take appropriate action.

PBO operates in the United States. Information may be processed where PBO and its service providers operate, and those locations may have different privacy laws from your location. Applicable privacy protections and legal obligations still apply.

12. Policy updates and contact

PBO may update this policy as the Services or information practices change. The revised date appears at the top. Where a change requires additional notice or consent, PBO will provide it.

Contact Professional Bowling Organization at marketing@pro-bowling.org with questions about this policy or the handling of your information. Please describe your request without including bank account details, tax identification numbers, or sign-in codes.
